I am a therapist who takes a compassionate, integrated, shame-free approach toward helping clients overcome harmful behaviors, negative false beliefs, and other byproducts of trauma such as anxiety, depression, codependency, and addiction.

Curiosity and empathy are the foundations of my work. While I prefer experiential therapies such as Internal Family Systems, Somatic Experiencing, Compassionate Inquiry, psychodrama, and polyvagal theory, I recognize when it comes to mental health there is no such thing as “one size fits all.”

I hold a Master's degree in Counseling from Northwestern University and have been fortunate to receive training in wellness and addiction from Cornell University and the University of British Columbia. My practice includes work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families both in-person and virtually via the ZOOM and Simple Practice platforms.

My philosophy:

“I believe our behaviors never started out wanting to hurt or kill us: they were adaptations which over time became maladaptive. Through active listening I strive to meet people wherever they are on their journeys, offering support as they reconnect with their authentic selves.”

“‘Ask: Why the pain?’”

― Dr. Gabor Maté

“Your environment wasn't supportive, wasn't loving, did not respond to you ... The fundamental thing that happened, and the greatest calamity, is not that there was no love or support. The greater calamity, which is caused by the first calamity, is that you lost the connection to your essence. That is much more important than whether your mother or father loved you or not.”

― A.H. Almaas
